Dallas Naval Weapons IRP Remedial Action

Under a Fixed Unit-Rate contract, Arrowhead conducted a VOC, PAH, and PCB soil remedial action/demolition/civil construction project at the Dallas Naval Weapons Industrial Reserve Plant located in Dallas, TX, an active, Navy-owned property.

Located within an active Naval industrial manufacturing installation, Arrowhead crews excavated, loaded, and shipped over 38,000 BCY of contaminated soil and placed over 57,000 BCY of clean backfill from excavations encompassing seven acres. The scope of work also required the demolition and disposal of 47 different structures resulting in over 10K tons of demolition debris transported offsite for disposal.  Over 6,000 truck loads of various site materials safely traversed the manufacturing facility during the project. Civil construction included a new oil-water separator, a 440 LF trapezoidal concrete channel, a new concrete outfall structure and rip rap embankment, a 740 LF trapezoidal channel, and two, existing RCP pipelines were re-routed and connected to the channel.

This successful project demonstrates Arrowhead’s ability to manage large scale demolition and remediation efforts with mulitple concurrent tasks utilizing a diverse cross section of subcontractors.
